RIP Steve "Air" McNair

Although I didn't know much about the guy and his life, I know he was a great ball player. I only got to watch him for a few seasons when I started getting into football, but I still knew of the greatness that was Steve McNair.

After checking his official website I saw that he had a foundation and a free summer football camp upcoming. The guy was a class act, something that is severely lacking in the NFL these days. Now of days when 90% of the news stories on ESPN about NFL players are about their criminal records and league suspensions, this puts everything in perspective. Maybe the sports world can all come together and see the big picture that it's not all about the money, fame, endorsements, and press coverage. And maybe it'll be a time when we can stop talking about the Michael Vick's, Brett Favres, Plaxico Burress', and Pacman Jones', and sit back and honor a great man that was taken from us at such an early age.

Steve McNair will be remembered by me and many, many others around the world. And he will be sadly missed.

R.I.P. Steve "Air" McNair...#9 forever.
